Since 1983, we have definitively reject this option.
Our experiment in this field was determining; we noted the
following elements :
- the patients tolerate in a way different the passage of the current.
- For the same subject this tolerance evolves from one session to the other, but also during only one session.
Our protocol recommends two ten minutes
phases.
During the first phase the intensity of the current supported, will be a few milliamps for some, others, it will be equal to the optimal intensity.
During the second phase, the intensity applied is not obligatorily identical to that of the
first.
Under these conditions, it is thus necessary to be able constantly to carry out adjustments: to reduce the intensity to avoid the burn or the pain then to increase it again as soon as it is
tolerated.
An automatic system must thus take account of the most unfavorable cases.
In a logical way, we did not choose this solution which results in making waste time by multiplying the sessions and
whose results are inevitably worse. the automatism thus allows neither the respect of the organization of each one, nor the saving of time for the
patient. Moreover perpetual variations of the current are unpleasant. A simple solution exists, the manual adjustment by the people themselves. It makes it possible to respect the tolerance of each individual by taking account of his psychological state (stress, tiredness…) bringing to support in a
nonidentical way the treatment during a same session.
The justified subjects accept readily this assumption of responsibility and this autonomy.
The results
are faster because at any moment, the supported intensities maximum are defined by themselves and can be reduced or increased."WHAT MEANS SAFETY FOR i2m ?"
There is a European legislation which obliges a manufacturer to subject the medical apparatuses to an approval, it is the EC marking . It is delivered with the manufacturers who
must subject their apparatuses at national laboratories of tests specialized in the medical field. This certificate refers to a general standard which, in our opinion,
is not enough restrictive with regard to the electric safety of the iontophoresis devices
Our devices, the i2m-A, IDROSTAR, and
Iomax4, make it possible to avoid the use of the main during the treatments. Their
sources of energy are batteries or accumulators. This technology is much more expensive during the manufacturing process but
our ethics is to propose a total safety to you. Moreover apparatuses functioning on the main must profit from an earthing serious. The use of this type of apparatus thus imposes a diagnosis made by an official organization which will
guarantee the conformity of your electric installation. To conclude we will quote the remarks of an expert on the
matter: "the user must be ready to spend a certain additional sum to improve safety, carrying out a complementary

"DOES THE GOING BEYOND OF THE PROCESSING TIME PRESENT A RISK?"Not, it does not
present a major risk since it can be sometimes advantageous to lengthen the processing times, either to accustom the
subject to certain intensities, or to treat rebellious cases. Twenty minutes of treatment for two ends (hands or feet)
constitute an average order of magnitude. This time is often sufficient but can be increased. The doctor is a only
